Vietnamese Potbelly pigs have very dry skin. There are many products out there for their skin. I use Avon's Skin so Soft on my potbellies. It works great,plus makes them smell good. Pot belly Pigs do not have an odor. Their dry skin makes them very itchy.You will find them rubbing up against your furniture to scratch themselves. They love being brushed. They will lay there all night if you use a soft bristle brush or comb on them. You can also bathe your potbelly if you prefer.
Potbelly Pigs shed just like a dog would. They lose a lot of hair in the spring and grow it back before winter.
Potbellies can get sunburned. They love laying in the sun in the summertime. I always put sunblock on Pickle. Poptart never burns. I think the lighter skin potbellies burn easier.
